Cerje panorama

In the very western part of Slovenia, the littorial region, there's the famous Karst country (in Slovenian: Kras). There karst phaenomena were studied and described for the first time and the term came into many languages. The northern border of Kras is the Trstelj streak, up to good 600 m high hills range. And one of the westernmost summits is Cerje, known by the monument to fallen soldiers in the World War I. By the whole streak a nice marked path goes. This is the view towards the Adriatic sea.

What is blossoming here, is Cotinus coggygria, 'bloody bush', in Slovenian language we name it 'ruj'.
