Re: Huh!

No, Fabrizio, unfortunately not. I was only once in Dolomiti d'oltre Piave group. We ascended Monte Pramaggiore and went to see Campanile di Val Montanaia.

Huh!

Duranno is beyond any doubt one of the most magnificent and audaciously formed peak in the Dolomites over Piave river. It is also very difficult to ascend. Fabrizio, have you intention to perform the page concerning this lofty mountain?
Ciao, Andrej

Re: Huh!

You're right, Duranno is fantastic, but in this group there are a lot of other great mountains almost unknown. It's strange that thousands come here to see Campanile di Val Montanaia but nobody knows how beautiful and wild are the valleys around!
The climb of Duranno is of course a difficult alpinistic route, but there's a beutiful via ferrata ( quite difficult ) for its shoulder.
I'm preparing some other pages, but I know this group ( Dolomiti Friulane ) quite well and in the future I'd like to post something about it.
Ciao!

Re: Huh!

I asked for your plans, because Duranno was on my list of SP peaks for a long time. I haven't posted the page, because there were no photos of this remarkable summit at all. So, do you give me permission to create the page about Duranno? I completely agree with you, that Dolomiti Friulane are the precious jewel of the Alps, and except for Campanile di Val Montanaia, all other peaks are almost unknown. They merit to be described on SP.
Ciao, Andrej

Re: Huh!

Please do it, I'm sure it will be a great page like the others you already posted.
I'll be happy to contribute with some photos.

Wonderful impression!

It´s so great being outside in the mountains and see them touched in the first light! Beautiful shot!

Re: Wonderful impression!

Thank you, schmid! You're right, I love these moments too. Sometimes the colors of the sunset or the sunrise can be unreal, especially on dolomitic mountains.
Ciao
Fabrizio
