Chata pod Rysmi refuge as seen from Vaha pass
Chata pod Rysmi is a mountain refuge situated below Váha pass at the altitude of 2250 meters what makes it the highest situated mountain refuge in Tatra Mountains but it's not open all year round but only in summer-autumn season betweeen 16 June to 31 October. In winter the refuge is very often swamp with avalanches so the shelter looks a bit like a bunker in addition to survive those tough conditions.
