Climbed Cheget as a warm-up for Elbrus. Nice peak with great views towards Elbrus and Donguzurun.
Climbed to +-3200m. You need a permit to cross the border zone (since spring of 2018), we didn't have one so we decided to call it a day.
Cheget was not particularly strenuous, but fun. The views are outstanding!
Fun Elbrus warm up

We did this as an acclimatization skitour for Elbrus (5625m), which we did 4 days later
An acclimatization for Mt Elbrus. Seemed more like a bump on a ridge to me. Missed our views of Elbrus due to clouds, but great views of a few other amazing peaks.
took the ski lift, drank in the bar at the top, then went for a little stroll.
Accidently hiked to Georgia ;)
Acclimatization hike for Elbrus. Perfect weather and amazing views of many caucasus peaks including Elbrus, Ushba, Donguzorun and Nakratau.
Climbed this peak after summiting Elbrus a few days earlier:) Perfect weather, nice views!
Climbed this route as acclimatization for Mt. Elbrus.
Unfortunately no nice view due to bad weather.
Climbed it as acclimatization for Mt Elbrus
Did this climb to get acclimatized for Elbrus. Gorgeous views of Elbrus from the summit. Fast descent sliding, lots of fun.
We slept near the top to get acclimatized before climbing Elbrus and enjoyed the dream-like views of surrounding peaks: Ushba, the twin-peaks of Elbrus and the north face of Donguzorun. It was incredible!
