Chilkat Climbing
Chilkat Mountains south of Haines, Alaska, provide climbing opportunities on both big walls and glacier travel for access.
From these col saddles and peaks the climber will be able to look West down into Glacier Bay. To the East they would look down into the Inside Passage, up across the tops of the Kakhuhan Mountains, and up onto the Juneau Icefield's northern reaches around Skagway.
