Weather was great until summit day. Naturally, it cleared up only after we got off the ridge. Camp 1 was set 5050m, Camp 2 at 5340m, and Camp 3 at 5610m. Mountain was not very technical, only requiring fixed ropes once on the ridge. Warning: makes it very difficult to want to come back to Ohio.
Route Climbed: Standard Route Date Climbed: August 9, 2004
Jon Otto was a great leader. George and TJ made excellent tent mates and climbing partners. Wudi smoked a victory cigarette at about 20,000 feet. Nima, Nihui, and YT also summitted that day.
