Thanks Vid! The est thing about it is that I can attach it to another group tomorrow if the crazy :-) Italians come up with some other grouping structure. Therefore I haven't changed anything on the Pale page yet - but anyway, I'm still working on the Marmolada Group page.
Also I have been trying to help out Drago about his Creta di Aip page - I want to add the climbing route overview but that takes time. Could you spare a look at his Monte Zermula page, at least for the errors? Somehow I feel that the Carnic Alps are my/our baby and It's a pity that he doesn't have the English skills (yet) to write about the mountains.
Thanks Mark. Don't get any Mainzer going on the history of this place - it used to be very important but now isn't anymore. So we're living in the past - historically.
To go on with the lecture - we even had the first German republic here - kicked out the Archbishop / Archduke and set up a clone of the first French Republic after the revolution. It didn't last long. The old man came back with his brethren from all over Germany and sieged the city. Not much was left standing.
Which is the usual story with this sity - it burned down so many times that you wonder why people kept living there.

Untitled CommentA nice looking group of mountains. Thanks for the pictures of Mainz. No idea there was so much history here.
