I sure was tempted but their was a bit of activity in the area and I wasn't looking to alarm any of the authorities. I wonder if it is open at certain times. The view from the base is nothing to write home about, from the top though you'd be over the trees and i'm sure be rewarded with a great view.
We went up north mountain last night just before dark. There were some Forest Service guys up there and the fence around the stairs was locked but we climbed over it anyway and went up to the top for the view above the trees. It's too bad they're going to get rid of that one soon. We might have been some of the last people to have go up there.

The TowerIt's unfortunate they don't allow folks to go up the tower. This has got to be one of the most interesting lookout structures in the state.
