Cliffs of the Northern Escarpment

The highlight of the Simien Mountains of Ethiopia in terms of scenery is the Northern escarpment from where the highlands drops off via dramatic cliffs to the plains below. This spot is approximately midway between the campsites of Sankaber and Geech. I took the photo in late October 2002 which is immediately after the rainy season.
