...for this trip report! I climbed Elbrus about two months ago and while reading your lines I recalled all the great impressions I got: the sunrise, the beautiful and slowly growing shadow of Elbrus, the breathtaking view to Ushba, the great weather (until we reached the saddle...) and the moment, when the sun broke through the clouds again, exactly while being on the summit...
Thanks for your comment, Herbert! I am very glad that my writing recalled the moments which are dear to everyboby who has the Experience! Take care you too and I wish you many beautiful climbs and good weather! Regards, Alex
But it is silly that politics should stop you from going to Svaneti. I hope that you will be able to shoot your film next year. What kind of project is it? I am very interested in (no, actually i am in love with) Svaneti since I went there last year.
Thanks for kind words! The project is to make a historical movie about mountain climbing in Svanetia, about the National Hero of this country Mikhael Khergiani and so on. The problem is that our russian sponsor stopped financiation as a result of the present political tension between Russia and Georgia.
