Closeup of Glockner summit

Closeup of the Glockner summit taken from the Fuscherkar-notch (2.840 m) during the ascent to Fuscherkarkopf (3.331 m). To the left you can see the steep "Glocknerleitl" leading to the Kleinglockner ridge. In the center the upper part of the famous Pallavicini couloir is nicely visible, leading to the notch between Kleinglockner and Grossglockner. And finally to the right: obviously the summit of Grossglockner (3.798 m). Climbers are visible on the "Glocknerleitl" and on the Kleinglockner ridge, if you enlarge the picture. 5th of August 2007 by Herbert
