Clyde Couloir in July 2017

The bottom portion of the Clyde Couloir has collapsed, as seen here from above on the Starlight Buttress. There is now a 50 foot serac at the base of the couloir. It is now impossible to rejoin the Starlight Buttress route that way. Instead, one has to climb steep 5.7-5.8 rock from the toe of the buttress. The top of the couloir is also entirely dry.
