Finished all 58  Sucess!

I consider this a huge accomplishment! After losing my husband on Denali in 2009, I grieved by hiking the 14ers. I don't know who or where I'd be if it wasn't for those mountains!

Colorful Colorado  Sucess!

I have now climbed all 70 14ers in the contiguous US. And I must say the Colorado 14ers are my favorite. Colorful rocks, Colorful plants, and Colorful Wildlife. WA and CA have great fourteeners, but the only color is white (snow or granite).

a nice list to do....

ABC (all by culebra). Somehow not interested in hiking in group on private property road and certain day and paying a fee...

Mt. Sneffels  Sucess!

I climbed this in early July and had to use microspikes and compacted hiking poles as hand holds climbing the last col...awesome to say the least. Highly recommended for all who are looking for one of many 14ers in the Telluride/Ouray area.

Twelve 14ers.  Sucess!

Have climbed 12 fourteeners so far, some of them several times. Elbert, Bierstadt, Longs Peak, La Plata, Mount Sherman, Quandary, Greys and Torreys Peaks, Bross, Democrat, Lincoln and Evans.

Who knows, maybe someday I'll climb the other ones (??).

Colorado 14er finish!  Sucess!

Did my first three (Grays, Torreys and Bierstadt) on June 28th, 2008, one week after the San Juan Solstice 50 miler. Had to take a three week break in the middle of prime climbing season (July 25th through August 12th 2008) to travel to California for my Ironman triathlon and that cost me completing all of the Colorado 14ers in one summer. I finished 42 of them (plus 2 of the other "unofficial 14ers") by the end of September 2008 and then called it a season.

We were planning to move to Oregon in late July 2009 and I'm not a winter climber (well, not much of one), so I only had about 6 weeks to be able to get through the rest of them. I started the season on May 31st with San Luis Peak, took a three week break waiting for the snow in the San Juans and Elks (which is where most of the 14ers I had left were) cleared out. Finished up with Capitol on July 19th, 2009.

Climbing the Colorado 14ers was an awesome experience and one of the biggest accomplishments of my life. I got to see some amazing country and meet some fantastic people.
