Comma

Comma (Poligonia c-album – in Polish: Rusalka ceik) is a species of butterfly very common in Poland. The butterfly hibernates as an adult, emerging on the first warm days of spring, frequently in April. The first generation emerges in woodland around June or July. Larvae feed on varius plants e.g. stinging nettle (Urtica dioica), sallows (Salix), elms (Ulmus), hazels (Corylus) and currents (Ribes). The Low Beskid - March 28, 2017.
