Commemoration

A bit of history Enchanted Rock has long had it's stories...the one the park likes to embellish is that of a Texas Ranger who got lost in the area and ran into a band of natives, who laid chase. He sought refuge on the Rock, which the natives believed were haunted because of the groaning and popping noises it would make at night. Science would later conclude that the noises are from the Granite expanding as it cools off from a day in the Texas sun. Taken at Enchanted Rock, Fredricksburg, TX
