Coral Pink Sand Dunes

The dunes are, as I have read, the highest dunes. I think this is due to the elevation rather than how high the sand is piled. The photo is of a crescent dune if I remember my dune types correctly.

just hike and scout out a snake or two...Tanya...to be honest with you, hate the noise/air pollution of atvs/dune buggys...very cool place though...the colors so vivid...for some reason when I first visited, I never really expected the sand to be so "pink",,,cheers

Same with me. I am not into much with a motor. Just wondered if you are one of the guys who goes out there just to bury himself in the sand. ;)
