Couloir crossover point on Crestone Needle

Setting up an anchor at the famous crossover point between the eastern and western couloirs on Crestone Needle's south face during a winter ascent. The climbing out of the eastern couloir to this point was the crux of the climb. Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Colorado. February 2009.

Re: Awesome pic.

That's the north side of UN 13,270 aka "Crestolita".

Re: Awesome pic.

Yep, looking south. You can see the Blanca group in the distance. There is a couloir going up the middle of Crestolita that I've had on my to-do list for a while now. You can see it well in my picture titled "Crestolita". Its north facing and somewhat inset so it'll probably have snow in June.
