I have seen some bighorns about every time I go to the "Bridge to Nowhere." And once, climbing with a partner to the top of Mt. Baldy, we were met by only 2 bighorn sheep at the very summit!

San Gabe Sheep
I've seen 'em high on Waterman ridge about a mile east of 3-points. (1981) Also, lots of sign on Strawberry peak above the big cliff. There is a gully that splits the cliff on the right. Up in there. It's all class 4 and covered with slick pine needles, scary. I'll never go up there again.

Interesting TopicIt's always a thrill to see one. But this time around, I guess they were shying away from the census takers!

Fun dayI participated in the count in 2008. We saw 20 or so sheep on the slopes below Bighorn Ridge from the top of Lookout Mountain.
