Creek Crossing to Thatchtop

At 10,240 ft., the Glacier Gorge trail arrives at a marshy meadow. You will see a cairn. Leave the trail here and head for Glacier Creek. This rock crossing allows a fairly easy crossing. From here, hike steeply up a boot track in the woods to Shelf and Solitude Lakes. This picture is actually taken on the return. Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. June 28, 2013.
