Cross country to Trinity Peak

As you can see, the landscape is rather stark, with low vegetation and no trees. A hot place to be when temperatures in the area soar but not too bad for us when you get an early start and the morning temps are in the low 60's. We went to the left around the rocky hill in the center of the picture and found we had to scramble a bit due to the rocky nature of the side we chose to utilize (the right side). On our return we utilized the left side and found it required no scrambling, just high class 2 hiking. Our objective can be seen in the background.
