And a neat area! You may want to make one of your pictures a primary one that will display on the upper right hand. Good eye candy shots of the cliff face are a good way of attracting people's interest. While many don't want to admit it, we're suckers for a good mountain picture. :-)
We traveled through Nebraska's panhandle and stayed overnight in Chadron on way to the Dakota's. The rolling hills there are like no other place and the buttes are nice too. Made a special trip to a cemetery (on same road as Carhenge)in Alliance where relatives are buried.
I did not take many photos after the fire. It was a depressing sight, plus access to the whole area was tied up for quite a long time. Public viewing was limited. This is when zoom lens are really useful. The forest service only seems to do selected removal of dead trees. So, the problem of dangerous snags in Nebraska's forests will likely remain for quite a few years.
Just posted three more fire-related photos to add to the other two for Crow Butte. On my Panhandle Trails website, I have fire damage photos for a few other Nebraska summits, like the "before and after" photos of Crown Butte (a few miles east of Crow Butte) that you can check out here: http://panhandletrails.weebly.com/crown-butte.html
