This was my first summit. Have to say I'm hooked now. We approached from the West via Lost Twin Lakes. Just follow the creek up from the lake and along the contour right up to the peak. Had a storm scare us back down sooner than we would have liked, but it stopped at the line of peaks and never crossed over to our camp.
We had scouted the approach from the east and camped at Willow Lake, but ultimately decided to move around to the west side. The trek is much nicer from the west and the climb is shorter.
I recorded a video on the approach, and one on the summit.

The summit register needs to be replaced as the cap is cracked, but we didn't have anything with to repair it. I put the slip of paper in a plastic bag that I had with and put it back in along with a page from my rite in the rain notepad.
I've been stormed off of this thing more times than anyone has climbed it! :)

Solo from West Tensleep
Nice day hike in the Bighorns. If you want to get away from the crowds this is it. Great views from the top.

More boulder hopping than I expected!
As a day hike from Circle Park, via the East Ridge above Rainy Lake. Lots of boulder hopping up and down the ridge, which I enjoyed, great views of the Chill Lakes cirque, and 3rd class on the summit pyramid.
I returned via Willow Lake - nice lake, but a lousy way to access Darton Peak.

Turned Back
Made it 1/2 a mile from the summit, but was turned back by weather. Beautiful climb in the winter.

Nice hike from W. Tensleep
A beautiful day for a hike in the Bighorns. The elk were bugling and the aspens were turning gold. I made it to the summit in 4 hours and back to the car in another 3.
