DATE AND TIME: 071307, 1105; LOCATION: Milepost 203.8 along US-24, about six miles N/NW of Buena Vista; CAMERA: Olympus SP-500 UZ, 6 megapixel, 10x optical, 5x digital; DESCRIPTION: The summit of Mount Harvard is so well-screened by surrounding peaks and ridges that it is next to impossible to spot from any roads or highways. I discovered that the upper section and summit are BARELY visible from a VERY BRIEF (1/4 mile) stretch of highway along US-24 north of Buena Vista (the north side of milepost 204), which is the reason for that green highway sign in the photo. If you look closely, the upper section of Mount Harvard can be seen in the upper left hand corner of the photo, above a nearby treed ridge.
