Deep, sugary, snow made for slow going on the upper mountain. It took us nearly nine hours to ascend the approximately 6,400 vertical feet from Golden Hills Avenue to the top of the West Twin. I didn't have anything left and refused to go across to the East Twin so my partner, Gristle, reluctantly agreed and we headed back down. 'Twas a beautiful day!

With the CaldwellsDid it a few times when Karen and Dennis Caldwell lead it years ago, also in 07 as an approach to the triple traverse.
