Death Canyon Shelf from Below
This is Death Canyon Shelf from near the top of Death Canyon, late June 2005.
There are two sets of official backcountry campsites implied by this picture. One set lies inside Death Canyon, the first of which is well over a mile down the canyon from this point. The second set is up on Death Canyon Shelf -- obviously more exposed to weather but with spectacular views.
