Deep Mtn loop
12 mile loop leaving Road #368 TH, following well marked trail to the summit, then decending on good trail toward Road #7066 TH. At about 10 miles we headed off-trail, down thru open timber stands angling toward Road #368 to car. Would have been nice to have a car drop on this hike. Some blowdown, nothing impassable. Snow fields on upper portions of mtn made it slow-going and difficult to follow trail. Trail snowed in entirely near summit so we scrambled up the rocks instead. Sunny & warm on top w/ rewarding views. Mac, our canine hiking partner, got a good workout!
