"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Heaven on EarthI hiked from Ponderosa Ranch and after 3 miles or so, the footprints in the snow ran out. Fortunately for me, the route was pretty easy to follow with deer tracks coming in and out, cut logs, clearings in the brush and snow depressions marking the way. I traversed the length of the rim to see Zion Canyon and the eastern extent of the national park. This hike didn't take a lot of work, but the views were tremendous. Why isn't this place visited more often?

Incredible ViewsSome amazing viewpoints around the edges, even for Zion. From Many Pools canyon. You can walk forever once you are up on the plateau.
