Descending the Emmons

Descending the Emmons

This was the standard route late in the 2007 season after the Disappointment Cleaver route was shut down due to wide crevasses at the top. This was the second day of use for the reroute according to the rangers. July 2007

Looks Familiar

I got a photo at the same spot but I like yours better.

Re: Looks Familiar

Thanks :) It was funny, when we climbed this little vertical section in the dark it didn't seem like it was as big or as exposed as it ended up being on the way down. We didn't use the fixed line on the way up, but did throw on a prusik on the descent.

I really enjoyed your photo set of your climb two days before mine...it all looked very familiar and you had some great shots that I missed.
