Sarah, just a great report and I understand your let down on not getting the summit, yet it was a terrific adventure. That kind of condition (ice) is a bummer. Babo is one I'd love to get so I was rooting for you. I never knew there was a guide service and that's nice to know. Nice pictures as well.
I can tell you really put your heart into this one.
It really is a fascinating peak! When I lived in Tucson in the
mid-90s, I saw it many times and wondered how to actually get to
it from Tucson. Did you have to cross the reservation???
Hi Sarah, I just wanted to mention that Babo will be there in May (this year) and the next year too. We are quitters only if we stop trying. Failing is just a part of our getting up something, it is just one part of the wonder and beauty of our sport.
