Could you please tell me where the info you give about the origins of the names comes from? As to the translation, it can't be Rock of Tears although it'll surely be hard for a non-native Polish speaker to realize that; it's Weepy/Tearful Rock but I'm asking about the source of your explanation of the meaning.

The source is Kamil, but I misunderstood his explanation, you're both right.
As for my sources, I check Wikipedia in all languages (PL/SK/CZ/HU) and few links. I try to sumpmarize all.
The name of the peak comes from the old beliefs of local people that its southern cliff becomes wet first before storm or heavy rain is coming, is that ok for everybody now ? :)
The explanation Tomek has given is one of the likely options, this may also go for Rohacz Placzliwy, but there are others, like W. Cywinski's version: after the vertical streaks of darker rock on the SW wall.
