Great shot!You can't see it here, but the exposure behind "Dirk" (down the Diamond glacier/couloir) shrinks your testicles - to put it politely!
Perhaps that is why he has his back to it?

G o M exposureYes your right - it gets your attention both ways, especially if the wind is blowing!
I am going back in December - I'll try to get a shot showing it. Its just not the best situation to be messing about with cameras.

Another attempt!Well I did go back, but had to retreat after One O'clock Gulley because of blizzard and no bivvy gear. Quite a difficult retreat - abseil rope froze and jammed and I had to cut it. Then we got off route for last ab - gripping stuff with the rope now too short to get all the way down! Even the hike back across the Lewis, which is normally a pleasant stroll, was somewhat stressful. (We ended up hiking Kili to recover.)
However, we are going back again to Mt Kenya just after Christmas this year, if anyone wants to join us.
