Skied from the hi way to the ridge. Snow covered talus climb from there thanks to the blasting winds. Whiteout on the way down glad the climbing was not to difficult!
Climbed it on a foggy August day. Took us half an hour just to find the trailhead and couldn't see the mountain at all. Made the summit and the clouds parted on the way down to reveal the spectacular scenery below. Outstanding, and not a tough climb once you get above the muddy trail and onto the ridge.
Multiple times in 2001.
I had nothing but fun every time I went up here. A sunset climb in particular was especially beautiful.
Awesome views from the parking lot. Easy, interesting route up the ridge and past the abandonded fire lookout to the buggy summit. Summit views include a very vivid example of the mountains abruptly meeting the prairie.
Also climbed on June 19, 2011. Snow complicated the route over the last couple hundred of vertical feet. On the descent, we spotted some friends of ours skinning up the snowy east face - my hiking partner and I met them on the snow and glissaded down on an abundance of slushy snow. Great spring summit.
We climbed this peak many times during the summer of 96. This mountain taught me the foundations of climbing.
Climbed with Vantana, Mikey, Travis and Bret. Great warm up climb with awesome views right from the parking lot. No warm up allowed on this climb.

Climbed with G.M.S
Very easy mountain to ascend even if going up the boulder field instead of the trail. Amazing views of the other Glacier Peaks especially White Calf and Red Eagle Mountains. Climbed with Rebelgrizz.
Also climbed 7/18/12 by trail this time.
Perfect quick peak.
CLIMBED NE RIDGE SOLO DESCENDING SOUTH TO REJOIN OTHG FOR CLIMB OF WHITE CALF MTN
This was one of my most enjoyable summits. The rock is firm, providing very good purchase for climbing, and the view for the amount of energy expended is incredible. Nice little wooden lookout on the ridge (old).
Due to various maladies (Fred's shoulder-back-feet and my broken toe), this was the first hike/climb of the year. Great fun and great views. Hopefully we are now on the way to doing more.
Climbed with Moni.
The Tribe is salvage logging the burn and there are now several spur roads in the area, so there can be a little confusion as to the correct road to the parking spot. Following the power line is the key to staying on the correct road.
Excellent views from a peak that is not centrally located. The most astonishing view was of the surrounding devastation from the Red Eagle Fire. That is as black as black gets.
I don't remember when I climbed it. I was about 10 or 12. I started out with 3 siblings, 2 parents and my grandmother. At the firelookout, 3 stayed and 4 of us went on to the top. Parts of it were quite difficult, but we were pretty young back then. I remember enjoying the part from the lookout to the summit the most.
Great way to spend a few hours in GNP. This climb is easy and short enough to be done in 1/2 day. Divide Peak was adopted by GNP - it seems it didn't share the bad weather the rest of the peaks were having that day and the rock on this mountain is very different too. Very solid and grippy to climb on. What fun!
Good climb with Aaron and Ellen. Very, very nice mountain; one of the few "easy" ascents in GNP. The view from the summit is, as usual with Glacier Peaks, spectacular! Terrific view of the rather weird, almost eerie looking, Curly Bear and Red Eagle Mountains, plus unusual views into the Triple Divide Peak/Mount James area, as well. More than well worth the effort!
