Really fun hike!
Really beautiful scenery on the way up and at the summit.

Felt really good after Piestewa. Didn't have time to run all the way over to Dixie so drove over for another quick effort. Took it fairly easy on the way up, checked out the alternate descent, and then eased down to the saddle before getting after it on the way down. Such a different experience than Piestewa. Top 1/3 is steeper, looser, and techier. But the bottom portion is a fairly fast cruisy rockfest. Felt pretty good after this too, and just enough time to squeeze the 'A' mountain in.

Sunset hike
Steep hike at the end. Very rewarding views with the sunset. Pretty hot - high 90s.

From the 40th Street trailhead, I headed south to the summit of Dixie Peak and back.

Close to home, not as crowded as nearby Piestewa.

Quick Run Up
Ran up from 40th Street and then back down and then back to scramble my way up the steep rounded off mountain between Dixie and Piestewa. Plenty of off trail and use of hands, but I didn't end up getting nailed by any cactus!
