Mt Siyeh via Cracker Peak
Like the original poster, we meant to take the South Slope climbing route, but went too far up the pass, and ended up on this one. This route was very enjoyable though, and my favorite climb I've done this summer. It was a beautiful day with amazing views of the park from the summit, the best I've seen. I also thought the exposed ledge you have to climb on was probably a Class 4, but it wasn't too bad. The scrambling on the upper section of the ascent was really fun (Class 2 and 3), and so was the traverse from Cracker Peak to the Siyeh summit. No bears, no wind, just a nice breeze. Next time I would try the South Slope route that Edwards recommends, but I would definitely do this one again.
