Down the toilet bowl

Down the toilet bowl

The chute that leads back to the lower area is often taken by climbers on their way back to Dollar Lake or Henry's Fork. This shot shows Dennis making his way down what is called "the toilet bowl" Double click on it to get a sense of depth of field. 8-21-06

Re: Amazing.

Thanks Bob. My knees screamed at me the whole time but it was an interesting route. To think that three teenage girls did the route both ways made me realize I'm definitely getting older.

I Concur!

With Bob it is a wonderful photograph. What basin in the Uintas is this and what is the elevation?

Brings back more memories, Dean!

You pretty well captured the upper part of Henry's Fork Basin. Hey, I always wondered what the prominent (pointed) peak is (approximately) 15 miles to the west. Is that Tokewanna Peak? I climbed Kings in 1982 with my brother. Great photo & overview of this wilderness area!
