Defining Moment

Not so many years ago I enjoyed that last rope climb.Have kept a few pictures myself, but have always loved this snapshot.

Most memorable for me was that we had misjudged our acclimation status and reached the summit one hour before sunrise. Waiting for the sun in the cold was very unpleasant and cold. But we were rewarded with amazing views at first daylight. Then we left quickly to get warm again. The colors in this shot still show the early morning light.
