First glance at this mountain I thought, "wow, beetle kill is real bad in Oregon," but I see it was a fire. I think it creates a unique beauty, great page and cool peak.
That area sure looks devastated. My first though on seeing the large pic was - it's surely no fun to climb that rubble. Good you made it up and back to report on the Butte.
Nice job, Brian. Man, that fire really charred a lot of area. I drove over Santiam Pass afew weeks ago and was amazed at how well the vegetaion is starting to come back, though.
To be honest, I have no idea how to make those clickable. I've stolen bits and pieces of html from other members and only know how to do it the way it is on the page. If you have any tips and could help me out, I'd appreciate it.

Untitled CommentIt's barely starting, a few more years and maybe there will be some noticeable green. Thanks for the vote!

Untitled CommentNot a very attractive peak, is it? Looks like a lump of sod a duffer would chop out of the fairway. But your writing makes up for it.

A detail:
I wonder why you don't make the large photos clickable?
They're usually very nice and It would be easier to vote on them if linked.
