Re: Yes, DurstNobody that I know has climbed it yet. I was hoping that you would climb it and then post the info for it. Isn’t that the way it works ;-)

Re: Yes, DurstI accept the challenge but when will be the question. I'm still working on the western desert peaks. My recent trip report on Indian Peak highlights another one of those unknown treasures that are out there.

Re: Yes, DurstGreat job on the western desert peaks. I may go over to Durst Mountain and give it a try. If I do I’ll let you know how to access the mountain. This guy just flew his Airplane to the top!

Re: Yes, DurstI usually climb this mountain in winter but decided to go there in spring. There were yellow arnica and other flowers blooming everywhere. This made it worth hiking through all of the brush to get there.

Awesome Airplane!It looks like it's a home-made
plane, from a kit. Yep, there's
a lot of unknown treasures to be
found out there in the wilderness.
That's all I have to say.

Re: Awesome Airplane! Thanks! What they flew was a two seat glider which is primarily designed for fast cross-country flying and gliding competitions. I will be taking a different approach by hiking up the mountain instead.
