Ears in the Sky?

Ears in the Sky?

Telephoto view of "Rabbit Ears" from the Templeton Trail, taken approximately 6 miles north near Cathedral Rock. (A.k.a. Oak Creek Spire), Rabbit Ears rise at the south end of a long sandstone ridge leading to the summit of Lee Mountain, east of Courthouse Butte. A favourite for rock climbers, Rabbit Ears have to be seen (listened to?) to be believed. The route actually begins on the left ear, and ends up on the slightly higher right ear. These ears are made of stone, so they probably have trouble hearing. If they COULD hear, what awesome tales they could tell! Actually, they're spending their time (literally) enjoying the silence. We have...

some rabbit ears here in California too, but your Arizona Rabbit Ears are much prettier. If I find the photo, I'll post it.
Nice shot,

Re: We have...

Thank ye, Marc!

The highlight of climbing these ears is the
infamous "leap of faith" on the lead of the
third pitch, where you have to leap across a
gap between the Rabbit's Ears.
