Eastern View at Font's Point, Anza Borrego Desert State Park
As you approach Font's Point in Anza Borrego Desert State Park, CA from the nearby parking lot (there is also a 2.6 mile loop hike) you climb a gentle, one hundred yard slope with no view to ahead of you or to either side. When you reach the end, there is a sharp drop-off in three directions, and you're presented with this stunning view of the Borrego Badlands. In the distance you can see the Salton Sea. Imaged in December 2014.
