still plotting the redpoint

After 6 straight days of climbing, the skin on my fingertips not to mention the rubber on my shoes was wearing thin. Nonetheless I gave this route a try with Andy after a fun romp on Pope's Crack direct. After pulling the mantle and passing the next couple bolts the skin tore on my finger. I took a fall and bruised my hip and sprained my ankle. I decided to take a rest and plan my revenge.

Very good climb

Miguel Carmona and I climbed this gem in 1986 as my records indicate. My notes talk about the last few feet without any pro. It noted (then) that it was one of the best climbs I have done in J Tree to date.

Awesome route.  Sucess!

I can't believe I'm the first person to sign this log. I climbed this roughly twenty years ago when I was young and fearless and still found it hair raising. Stepping around the corner to get established on the face is memorable as is the runout near the top.
