Re: Nice shot

Hey Bill-O,

I could be wrong, but the trajectory looks like it might have been taken from one of those unnamed lakes up to the northwest of Polly Dome. Just a thought.

It was taken

It was taken from Middle Gaylor lake just west of the summit of Tioga pass. i know the area very well. Access is by trail from the parking lot at the entry station, up 400 ft elevation to a great pass, and a steep descent into the gaylor/granite lakes Basin. This view is from the trail on the shoreline of the middle gaylor lake, and the trail then heads up to Upper gaylor lake at 10,500 ft, and finally to the Great Sierra mine at about 10,800. Nearby 11,002 ft gaylor Peak is a walk up from the little pass and affords staggering views of the entire Cathedral range.
