Long way up, but worth it!!
I'm a member of Trepacerros club. A mountaineering club of Monterrey TEC in Monterrey. We climbed this mountain as part of our training to go to the Iztaccihuatl. Started at the little town El Potisí where all the children go out to the street as you walk by to wish you good luck and ask you for candy! (if you ever go there take some candy with you!! it's awful not to have anything to give them, they are very nice people who even had a meal prepared for us when we came back the next day.

Route Climbed: Eastern. Date Climbed: September-1-2003This last time I was there we climbed the eastern route, camped on the summit and descended via the western route enjoying great weather.
