Ellemeham fr Little Chopaka
Ellemeham Mountain (4659F, 3183P) from the northwest from Little Chopaka Mountain (3248F, 1870P) on July 20, 2008. The white lake is the western lake of The Salt Lakes. There are three "lakes" according to the map but one is merely grass. All reside in basins (natural sumps) with no outlets, hence their brininess. The lake pictured here had the added bonus of smelling distinctly of rotten eggs. In fact, there were multiple pools in the lake that were of yellow color (like broken yolks of fried eggs).
