Eriogonum ovalifolium

Eriogonum ovalifolium

This Buckwheat grows in great numbers on the southwestern side of Shepherd's Pass. The flower color varies from light-pink to a deep wine-red. Magnified, the flowers remind me of a bouquet of old-fashioned roses. July 27, 2007
