I did it in trail runners I trust on rock, and managed to keep things about 5.6. You can go around the 5.9 crux to the right with a bit of ingenuity. Trip report.

We planned two days on the ridge. Made it to the water below Haeckel on the first day. Finished the ridge and hiked back to camp on the second day.
