Grasping a chocolate chip-raisin cookie in his right hand, and a steaming hot cup of java in his left, Larry contemplates the revolution of the sun in a campground (at 7,500+ feet) near
Woods Canyon Lake atop AZ's Mogollon Plateau.
It's easy to imagine this area being a "
greener" dimension of Arizona. Across the expanse of this "southern section" of the Colorado Plateau, Chevelon Creek snakes through such areas as Elk Rub Canyon and Black Canyon, before meeting the Little Colorado River east of Winslow.
After "field testing" the tent in the background, I conclude that Arizona
has apparently been exempt from the effects of global warming, at least as
far as localized weather patterns are concerned.
In fact, the campground hostess stated (conclusively) that it had been raining every day for the past week at Woods Canyon Lake.
We can only hope that this increased amount of moisture will give birth to a pethoria of summer wildflowers and fluttering butterflies for all SP-members to gasp at and enjoy.

Ride along the winds of time, and see where we have been.
The glorious age of Camelot, when Guinevere was queen.
It all unfolds before your eyes, as Merlin casts his spell."

Are YOU sitting comfortably ... ?"
