"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Fairview, finallySolo outing on a Saturday. Been looking at this peak for years and finally bagged it, along with Peak 8588. Approached from Road 87J, which I would recommend, providing you don't run in to any of the infamous landowners. A quick study of the property parcel map from Boulder County's GIS database will show the private property is easily avoidable; best to print out a map and have it handy in the event a landowner decides to accost you. On this day, I was left unmolested, and enjoyed the hike through fire-torched hillsides to a cool, undocumented trail that leads to the summit. They views were very good. Just a nice, sunny, crisp winter's day.
