We hardly saw anyone for the first half. Started at Fairyland Point going down. Came back on the rim.
Did the full loop starting from Fairyland point. During high summer, it's best to start early...starts getting hot around 11 o'clock.
Hiked this loop on Thanksgiving day. Some snow made for great views. Fantastic views, lots of pictures, very unique. Casually hiking it took us from 2:00PM to 7:30PM.
7/4/10 hiked with ex clockwise
7/4/15 - hiked with Ashley clockwise
Waited until temps rose to 32 degrees (from 8 degrees) at sunrise before beginning.
Combined with the northern portion of Rim Trail for an 8.4 mile loop.
