about elevation : 11377 ft / 3468 m
and there's still flora ?

Definately this is the case in Colorado. In the area of Colorado on the page timberline is around 3600 meters.

Although the forest end at 3600 meters or so, flowers and grasses grow right up to 4400 meters and would probably grow higher if there were mountains higher than that in Colorado.

Thanks for getting in touch. I had the same feeling of "vegetation vs. altitude" disbelief on a recent visit to Peru, looking at 14,000 ft / 4300 meter mountains...covered in JUNGLE! So, I know where you're coming from. Cheers! -Sarah
